Ellert Berg Guðjónsson holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and an M.Sc. degree in International Business and Marketing. He has extensive experience in procurement, negotiation, contract management and international business operations. In recent years, Ellert has increasingly taken on project management roles in a variety of project types.

Ellert has held a number of key roles, including Procurement Manager for large EPCM projects at Mannvit Ltd (Cowi) and Marketing and Sales Manager at Pols (Marel) and Skaginn. He has taken on a leading role as Procurement Manager from Develop and implement procurement strategies all the way to contracts close out. The largest project was for the ISAL Project Upgrade – a $500 million edge project – and ensured compliance with the governance of HRV (Mannvit) and Rio Tinto Alcan. He led and supported a team of 20 procurement specialists, ensuring a successful procurement process in a highly complex project.

At Refskegg, he served as Procurement Manager during the Keflavík Airport fuel tank extension project on behalf of ISAVIA.

As Property Manager at Brimborg ehf – an official agent and dealer for Volvo Cars, Ford,  Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction – Ellert has taken the role as project manager on numerous construction projects for the past seven years.

A certified electrician, Ellert began his career working in Iceland and Denmark. His experience spans shipyards, construction and fisheries, providing him with a practical foundation that has shaped his practical and strategic approach in leadership roles.
